The bunnies are multiplying! I am hand sewing the bunnies from felted sweaters, and their color combinations are making me so happy. They are a perfect fit for a little one's hands, and they are ready to be cuddled.
The bunnies will be in my Etsy shop on Thursday, March 24, as part of the Crafting for Courage online sale (March 24 to 28) to benefit Japanese earthquake and tsunami relief efforts. All proceeds from the sale will benefit Save the Children's Japan Earthquake Tsunami Relief.
I have heard about some wonderful handmade items that will be part of the sale. Sonia of Cozy Homemaking has a beautiful post about the project and a glimpse of one of her hand-stitched offerings. Joanie of ninimakes, who has energized us all with her organizing efforts, is stitching up a sweet doll with the most beautiful face and a hand-dyed textile that captures the sky. Margie of Resurrection Fern, who designed the dragonfly and sun logo for Crafting for Courage, is working on her distinctive and serene covered stones.
There are a few others that I can't mention right now, but you will be inspired by their work. I'll save those for a later post.
I hope that you will join us in our efforts to support the people of Japan. You can help by donating an item to sell. You can purchase one of the Crafting for Courage handcrafted items. You can spread the word about the sale to friends and family members. You can donate to the charity of your choice. Email me at editorana@gmail.com for details about how to donate an item to the sale.
It may not seem much, the work of a few hands, but together we are creating something bigger than what we could accomplish individually. We are crafting a small offering with great love (to paraphrase Mother Teresa) as material and spiritual support for a people in need of both.

I see such joy in these bunnies ...
I love these bunnies
Would you consider a bunny pattern to be sold in your shop, as well?I'd love to make my own bunny from felt at home!
That last shot! So adorable!
Thanks, everyone! They are a joy to make. Kristy, wonderful idea about a pattern. I have traced out a rough pattern that I'm using. Once I can take a break from the making, I'll see if I can put together a pdf pattern for sale.

Pat they are to cute! I would want a whole burrow full of them!
I'd love to purchase the pattern, too! It is such a cute, simple pattern. Perfect for a pocket pet :)
