Thank you, Craft Bloggers and Wordpress!

Just a quick note of thanks to all of you activist-crafters who got the word out about the intellectual property theft experienced by Cassi of The Crafty Crow and many of the craft bloggers who have had tutorials posted there. Many of you complained directly to tugatnature, the blogger who plagiarized material, and lodged complaints with Wordpress.

Wordpress has responded by suspending tugatnature's blog for violation of Wordpress's Terms of Service. (Etsy, take note!)

Thank you Susan of Slow Family Online for alerting me about this latest development.

Keep vigilant, and keep crafting!

A result. Well done to Wordpress and to you for speaking out. I did get around to posting about it but am now offline due to a problem with our router :( this blogging by phone is getting old fast. I may have to take a few days off.
Hope you're having a wonderful weekend my friend.

This is the best news!

I saw that TugsatNature had made the blog private and anyone interested in reading had to provide an e-mail address.

I figured there had been a flood of mail! But I didn't like the fact that a firewall had been erected which would prevent us from monitoring activity.

I am so pleased that Wordpress took this very appropriate action on behalf of all the bloggers who had been looted.

This looks a great news, Pat ! (though all what happened is a bit complicated to understand in English to me)
It's a relief that you could be heard, supported and defended !
Wish you and all the family a lovely Sunday of May !

tugatnature had several other blogs that were also full of stolen content. many of the bloggers whose words and photos were stolen complained to wordpress and those blogs are now marked "private" ... hopefully soon to be removed.

i hope the owner has learned her lesson and won't be starting new blogs that take credit for other people's work.

i noticed she also publishes books on lulu.com. i wonder if the contents are original...

i guess mollyann hesser did NOT learn her lesson. she has started a new blog at tugatnature.blogspot.com and her very first post contains words plagiarized from here:

comments are open at tugatnature.blogspot.com if you want to let mollyann know how you feel about her plagiarism.
