Articulate Threads

"Let threads be articulate . . . and find a forum for themselves to no other end than their own orchestration, not to be sat on, walked on, only to be looked at."
Anni Albers (1899-1994)

That vibrant orange with its spangled white threads needs no other purpose, does it, than its own tactile and visual appeal?

In one photo you have combined three of my great loves - nature, wool felt, and embroidery! There is something so tactile and wondrous about smooth and precise stitches against the wooly fibers of felt. Love it!!
