A Child-Friendly Space

When I imagine a child-friendly space for my own children, I imagine a light-filled room with books and toys and crafts where they can be absorbed in play, either on their own or with other children. It's a safe place, supervised by nurturing adults.

That's the kind of space that Save the Children is providing for some of the 100,000 children affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. In these spaces children can play and be safe while their parents work to rebuild their lives.

Thanks to all of the generous support for the Crafting for Courage sale, we have been able to donate a much larger amount collectively than we could as individuals. I just donated the proceeds from the sales of the Crafting for Courage bunnies and pattern to Save the Children, and my heart is just singing. It has been a true labor of love making these bunnies, knowing that they will indirectly help to provide some source of comfort for children in Japan.

Thank you Zee, Wanda, Amber, Anastasia, Sherry, Ellen, Jill, Alicia, Monica, Sarah, Amanda, Jackie, and all of the Cuddle Bunny pattern purchasers for your most welcome support. I can't wait to see more Cuddle Bunnies being stitched up and multiplying.

Is it too late to buy a pattern to add to your funds for Japan?
